Awesome, Valuable, and Free Lean Six Sigma Tools

Here is a valuable web site I want to share with the Sprick, Stegall & Associates blog readership.  A man by the name of Chris Coles, a Quality and Business Improvement Practitioner, who works for Babcock Defense in the UK, shared this web site with me through the LinkedIn Lean Six Sigma subgroup of Laboratory Management Professionals – Hospitals and Independent Laboratories.

These tools are free and easy-to-use.  I particularly like the Lean and Value Process Modeling Tool, the Yamazumi Process Modeling Tool with graphics, and the Stock and Run Rate Planner.  The models are organized around the following headings:

  • Standards
  • Statistical and Analysis Tools
  • Lean and cost Reduction Tools
  • Non-statistical and project Tools
  • Run charts and KPIs
  • Process solutions

If you need a model and it is not listed you can contact the Quality Club, tell them what you need, and they will do their best to help you.

On behalf of the laboratory industry, Leslie and I have donated 50£ to the Quality Club, so that they can continue to develop and provide these useful models to all continuous improvement practitioners.  Here is the link from the Quality Club free download page: http://tools.adaptivebms.com/

As always, your comments and suggestions are encouraged.  Thank you in advance for promoting the discussion.  Lean & Six Sigma Comparison
